When the lights went out...We sled. and sled and sled some more.

Missing the snow?  I'm not, but here are some pictures from our week of snow days.

I'll post with pictures of day one, but on day two (Wednesday) we woke up to see what the ice had done overnight.  The day before we got 8 inches of snow, then it switched to ice.  That is a bad thing.

This is what we woke up to see...

 We still had power,
but then it started to snow.... heavily... Uh Oh...

Here are power lines getting covered.  This is when Aaron announced that we had lost power. Whoops!

Awe Man!  My cocoa is getting cold!

Here is a Duke Energy truck trying to figure out how to plug us
back in.

Aaron directing the kids to sled, there was little else to do.

The boys racing down a hill

Annika decided one day two that it looked like too much
fun to let everyone else have with out her.  Little did we know that she
would love sledding!

Annika and her sled buddy.

Madie said she didn't know why, but her eyes felt cold.

Annika got brave enough to go solo.

But her brother knows how to make them sleds go faster!

Sweet snow pea!

We soon discovered that Aaron's parents had power, and heat.  So we packed up food, clothes and our sleds to head to comfort.  While Aaron dug out his truck, Annika decided to pick an icicle to snack on.
